Step # 2: Take a good look at the dark aspect of your persona, this is important as we do not want the persona to lead us into dark places in life, like prison, drugs & other addictions & unnecessary chaos. Now that you recognize the dark aspects of your persona shine the light on the darkness, the light meaning what is true & real, by doing this you take the imaginary (the persona) & merge it with the real (you). Be truthful, how many times have you seen or heard an artist who truly believes they are the image or persona, either they or the record label has created? Just imagine, what if Vanilla Ice would have came out & said “my name is Robert Vanwinkle I’m from the suburbs & I can rap”, instead of “I’ve been shot several times & I’m gangsta as hell”, I’m convinced he would be successful in his art today. This is a serious pitfall for artist because when you live like the persona is real, which in reality is just another part of our imagination, then we live life as though it is imaginary.
